Sian Lewis Byrne

My recent work is based around evoking emotions through the use of colour and light. I am researching and experimenting with combinations of media and different techniques to achieve this, currently exploring the cyanotype process.   Much of my inspiration is drawn from nature, landscapes and my immediate surroundings.  Currently my interests lie with the passage of time, passing seasons and remnants, shadows and memories of time gone by.  Boundaries and borders are also an important part of many of my images.  I will often use photography as a way of documenting and collecting material.  I use a variety of techniques, combining printmaking, collage and painting.
